The race starts at badaguish where the first section of the route follows a forest track that joins a path  to the top of Meall a Bhuachaille, After the descent down the same way as the ascent to the bealach the route contours on  rough open hill side to a knoll on the South ridge of Creagan Gorm, then follows a small animal track up the ridge to the top of Creagan Gorm where a rough path can be followed or not to the last summit of Craiggowrie where there is a fast heather descent into the forest and then back down the track to Badaguish and the finish.
